The 30th June, the first day of Wimbledon, blue skies, 28c and it's really starting to feel like summer.
In England, the Wimbledon tennis championship held in London, is synonymous with (in our case freshly harvested) juicy strawberries, dripping with fresh cream (and a sprinkle of sugar for sweet-tooth folk like me!) and with Pimms.
Today's gorgeously hot day melted into a warm sultry evening, spent with feet up and sharing a jug of Pimms. It just wouldn't be Wimbledon, or summer, without it.
Pimms is traditionally served as follows:
1 part Pimms to 3 parts lemonade over ice, with fresh mint leaves, strawberries, cucumber and a slice of orange and made by the jug!
